2024 Year in Review – A Year of Growth, Community, and Remembrance

As 2024 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on an incredible year filled with learning, sharing, and connecting with the amazing tech community. It’s been a year of exciting events, professional milestones, technological advancements, and also moments of deep sorrow.

📅 Conferences & Events

This year, I had the privilege of participating in several amazing conferences across the globe, sharing knowledge, and engaging with fellow tech enthusiasts:

• WPC 2024 – 📍 Milan, Italy (November 26)
• M365 Community Days Chicago 2024 – 🌐 Online, USA (July 20)
• CollabDays Hamburg 2024 – 📍 Hamburg, Germany (August 31)
• Global AI Bootcamp Oslo Edition Online – 🌐 Online (March 30)
• Global Power Platform Bootcamp 2024 – 📍 Milan, Italy (February 23)

Each of these events was a fantastic opportunity to deep dive into Microsoft 365, Power Platform, AI, and modern collaboration tools. The energy and passion from the community never cease to inspire me.

🏆 Microsoft MVP Renewal & MVP Summit

One of the biggest personal achievements this year was my Microsoft MVP renewal for 2024-2025 in July. Being part of this incredible program allows me to collaborate with industry leaders, contribute to the community, and stay at the forefront of Microsoft technologies.

Additionally, attending the MVP Summit 2024 was an unforgettable experience. I’m already looking forward to the MVP Summit 2025—another chance to connect with fellow MVPs, Microsoft teams, and learn about the future of technology.

🚀 Copilot: Transforming Our Work

This year marked a significant shift in how we work, with the introduction of Microsoft 365 Copilot. This AI-powered assistant has revolutionized our workflows, enabling us to be more productive and creative. Studies have shown that 75% of users reported increased productivity, and 57% found more enjoyment in their work with Copilot’s assistance. The integration of Copilot has not only streamlined tasks but also fostered a more efficient and satisfying work environment. ​As a Microsoft MVP in Microsoft 365, I find this development particularly exciting!​

🧡 Remembering Markus

This year also brought heartbreaking news with the passing of Markus—a dear friend, colleague, and fellow MVP. He was not only a brilliant technologist but also a kind and generous person who always lifted up those around him. He will never be forgotten, and we will miss him deeply.

🎄 Embracing the Festive Spirit

As we embrace the holiday season, it’s a time to reflect on our achievements and cherish the moments with our community. The festive spirit brings warmth and joy, reminding us of the importance of togetherness, family and friendship.

🌟 Looking Ahead to 2025

As we move into 2025, I’m excited for new challenges, more speaking engagements, and continued contributions to the Microsoft community. The pace of innovation is incredible, and I can’t wait to see where the next year takes us.
